A deposit of $200.00 is hereby made and the cash balance is due to Seller before this dog is placed in the Buyer’s possession. Registration papers will also be held until balance is paid in full. The Buyer understands that once a deposit is made, it is a commitment to buy said dog and is therefore NON-REFUNDABLE.

Seller accepts PERSONAL CHECKS for the DEPOSIT ONLY and only if there is 2 weeks for the check to clear before puppy is sent. All other payments should be sent to the seller in the form of a CASHIERS CHECK OR MONDEY ORDER. If picking up your puppy only CASH is accepted. Please make all checks payable to Christine Hutchinson and send to the following address:

Unless other arrangements are made the buyer agrees to the following:

If buyer places said deposit before puppy is 8 weeks old the balance is due by the time the puppy is 8 weeks old. If puppy is already 8 weeks old FULL payment is required. This is to include both the cost of the puppy and any shipping fees.

Seller agrees to hold puppy until he/she is 10 weeks old after that time the buyer is responsible for ALL VETERINARY BILLS and will be charged a boarding fee of $5.00 per day.

IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY BOTH PARTIES THAT THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS WILL BE MET AND THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS ARE EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

BUYER certifies that he/she is not acting as an agent for another individual in the purchase of this dog, and will not sell this dog to any mass-producing kennel (puppy mill) or business.

The purchaser promises to keep the dog in a proper manner. It shall not be kept permanently in a kennel. If it should be necessary for the dog to change hands, the Breeder has prior purchase rights for a period limited to two weeks. Selling to a third party is permissible only after prior consultation with the Breeder, whereby the main consideration is the assurance that the dog is passed to responsible owners. This puppy has been bred by us and has been carefully and painstakingly reared. The parent animals where mated with aim of breeding good and healthy puppies. Seller guarantees this dog to be free of communicable diseases as appears to the eye at the time of sale.

HEALTH GUARANTEE

We cannot guarantee the puppy’s size or color at the puppy’s adulthood.

Due to the fact that the puppy leaves our home at a young age we cannot guarantee that the puppy will breed or will “finish” in a dog show.

Buyer is responsible for all transportation fees of original puppy and any replacement puppy.

We, the Sellers, are not responsible for veterinarian bills or any other bills once the puppy leaves our home.

At the expense of the BUYER, this dog should be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 BUSINESS DAYS of possession to validate Health Guarantee.

Should this dog be found in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Breeder, this dog may, upon written diagnosis from a veterinarian, be returned to Seller for refund of purchase price or for a replacement dog of equal value, the choice to be determined by Seller.

If the puppy has a genetic defect detected by a licensed veterinarian within the first 6 months a full refund will be made or for another dog of equal value, the choice to be determined by Seller. Buyer must return puppy and puppy’s AKC paperwork to the Seller within 1 week of the exam that detected the effect before replacement will be made. Seller must also have a letter from that veterinarian with his address, telephone and the defect detected before any money is refunded. If the Buyer refused to return this puppy for a replacement puppy then this guarantee is null and void.

Our health guarantee does not cover Hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is a disorder caused by a low blood sugar. This disorder occurs mainly in toy breed puppies between 6 and 16 weeks of age. Hypoglycemia occurs when a puppy misses a meal and has the stress of a new home. This condition also occurs when the puppy is allowed to exert too many calories (puppy is allowed to play too much). Puppy should never use more calories that puppy can replenish with food and water.

TO GUARD AGAINST HYPOGLYCEMIA:
Do not let puppy exert too much energy for the first few weeks.
Make sure puppy eats 3 times per day and give puppy Nutri-cal.
Make sure puppy drinks enough water.
Keep puppy warm.

Remember this puppy is equal to bringing home a newborn baby and should be treated as one!

In the case of puppy being sold as pet, the new owner will spay/neuter by the age of eight months.

Buyer releases Seller, Christine Hutchinson, Butterfly Ranch Papillon’s and their estate from any and all liabilities, and/or damages by fault of this dog after the time of sale. These damages include, but are not limited to, destruction of property and/or physical damage to any person or group of people.

This contract is made out in duplicate; the Seller and the Buyer each to receive a copy.
